“Shattered Body” is a series of paintings that explores the body in the context of war, focusing on its destruction and fragility.

Drawing on media images of mutilated bodies, the canvases simultaneously “close off,” as if shielding the viewer from direct confrontation with traumatic experience.

The series emerged impulsively: small fragments of canvas were cut from a tightly rolled bolt and worked on individually, resulting in their natural curvature and the formation of sacred, geometric shapes.

This accidental property of the material evolved into a conceptual element of the exhibition, emphasizing the processes of observation and inner reflection.

The works operate as a dialogue in which art “speaks” both to its creator and to the viewer.
